Meet other people interested in Zen Meditation
Not a path of faith, nor opposed to any faith:
Just breathing and being aware of being aware.
Weekly Sunday evening meetings with occasional exceptions-no meeting on 10/26. Some come every week and others just come when they can. It's not necessary to rsvp --members who come on a very regular basis don't usually. The extent of commitment is personal and comes from within each individual. We have a teacher who has been practicing for 30 years and who just loves to do zazen (meditation). Anyone arriving 10 min. before 7 wearing loose, comfortable clothing will be shown how to sit on the cushion and how to follow the breath.

Our initial goal is to learn to live in the moment by experiencing a deepening of our concentration over time.
There is no charge, but members are encouraged (if they can) to offer $5 for the use of the space.
Any person who would like to experience the beauty, peace, and connectedness of just sitting in silence with other people is certainly encouraged to come and be with us. Once you know where we are, all you have to do is show up.
Despite what you are reading above, this meeting is cancelled. There will be no sit this week because our teacher and some members will be attending a meditation retreat. We will be back on Sunday, June 8th.
“ trying to find time to meditate on my own, life kept getting in the way.this meetup is the time put aside for self. ”
“ If you're interested in Buddhism or meditation, its a great local opportunity. ”
You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
